Picture Reduction

blogspot tells me that I have reached the maximum space for pictures. If anyone knows how to reduce the size of jpg files, please let me know how. For now, I will be pruning the pictures in the blog to make room for more. In the future, they will be more carefully chosen. Most of them are on Facebook anyway.

It turns out that the problem is in our Picasa account. There were pictures from our trip around the world a couple of years ago there, and those had not been edited. So there were many duplicates. I pared that down quite a bit. The blog for that trip got neglected, and then later it was hacked and people started getting spam e-mails. The picture pruning was still worthwhile, though.

Welcome and Bienvenidos!

In 2010, Penny and I were in Lima. We decided then to give up the lease on our San Francisco home when it expired that summer. Figuring that we were spending too much money for four years renting a house from which we were gone half the time traveling, we would get a smaller place. That idea worked its way down to a storage unit, and we decided to go live in places that we had visited before and liked.

Some of my friends contend that I should write and publish a travel book. Perhaps. In the meantime, this blog will have to do.
